The Design Demon was founded in late 2020 by Rae Sumlin in Charleston, SC.

What started as a way to use her creative energy outside of her Graphic Design day job, turned in to her now full-time accessories business.

Rae is proud to say that when you shop with The Design Demon, you're purchasing from an artist owned, queer owned, and woman owned business.

As a former fashion student, she truly believes that what someone wears is the purest form of self expression.

The Design Demon now exists to show customers that it doesn't matter what your age is, the color of your skin, the size of your body, etc. - you can wear whatever you damn well please!

As long is it makes you happy, wear it.

Giving people an outlet to express themselves outwardly with unfiltered pride is most important to her.
