Johnny Nguyen Art was started by Johnny Nguyen in Gainesville, FL in 2022. What began as a creative outlet quickly turned into a passion project fueled by the love and support of the Gainesville community. Johnny, who had explored various mediums like painting and mixed media, ultimately fell in love with the pen—captivated by the charm of black and white illustrations. He found a deep connection with the simplicity and discipline of pen work and sees his illustrations as a way to slow things down and focus on the details. 

His signature style brings a whimsical yet gothic twist to everyday moments, often portraying animals and quirky characters doing normal human things, like enjoying a campfire, having a meal at a restaurant or a beer at a bar.
